I am Avnish Kumar Bergman. I have around 8 years of overall working experience, which includes traffic designing, UI UX designing, and web designing. And, if you're looking particularly for UI UX Designing, I have around 3 years of experience. In my previous company, I was responsible for both graphic designing and UI UX Designing. In graphic designing, I was responsible for creating daily social media posts and marketing collaterals for marketing teams, such as brochures, flyers, emailers, and all. In my UX design, I was responsible for designing a post login for our product called Academy of Dental Excellence, by maintaining the previous design system, and making it available for dentists to take the course and attend the exams or tests and all. I was also responsible for creating the user experience for the medical app called Expert Online. Right now, this is not live, but I can show you a demo during the interview. I'm currently working as a freelancer and am responsible for creating a tech website for college students and teachers, on behalf of a company called Acatalog, where I reside. Thank you.
In my previous organization, there were no product managers. It was a small team working together, and I was the only UX designer. They didn't know about UX design, so we got into a situation where I had to collaborate with developers to make changes to the design. This happened in an app for expert online. During the interview, we created several questionnaires, which we used to send via MS Excel or Word form to doctors. I suggested creating our own form on our website and sending it to doctors for screening, rather than relying on a third-party tool. We incorporated this idea into the design. The same approach was applied to the Academy of Dental Excellence.
Where do you have the design report? I have worked on two complex projects. One, I'm still working on, and the second, I had worked on at my previous company. They're working on a tech app called Catalog College, which is just an idea right now. It will be designed for college-going students and teachers to ease their education, lower their dependency on offline colleges, and create a community online. This is a work in progress. In my previous organization, I worked at Actual Solutions. I worked on an app called Expert Online, which was created from scratch, and I had to design both UI and UX. For UX, we conducted research with a competitor's app called Fractal, then found out how they were dealing with patients, how much support they were giving to doctors and all, and other features as well. Based on that data, we created a user persona, and we interviewed several doctors and patients, like how they wanted to implement things in the app, how easy they wanted the communication to be. And we implemented them using wireframes. I created wireframes and a prototype of that wireframe and presented those designs to our stakeholders. It got approved quickly, and I was told to create a job UI design based on the wireframes, and it is work in progress. Maybe I can show you once. Thanks.
1st, testing of course, testing the usability of the feature in a profile and decide it's The first thing is, we design the information architecture on the user flow of the product beforehand. So it will be easier for us to design on the screen, like, how we want to show the information inside the app, how we want to show the prototype and all. So it's easy to decide everything beforehand in the planning phase rather than implementing it directly. Thanks.
To identify and resolve a common UX issue, the process involves understanding the problem first and then looking for a solution, and implementing them.
Can you mention a method you use to manage your time effectively when working on projects? As I said, in my previous organizations, I worked both as a graphic designer and UI UX designer. So I had to create a plan for each day, at what time I would create social media posts and what time I would create marketing materials for teams like emailers, brochures, posters, banners, and standees. I also had to schedule time for meetings with developers for UI UX design. It was fun to juggle multiple responsibilities. But it's also easier when you have clarity on what you'll be doing each day instead of just having a block of time.
Creating a UI component library. Yes. I have created a UI component library for export online and I am associated with the Academy of Delta Excellence. However, I prefer using a design system which is already available beforehand, like Google's material design or IBM's carbon design. Though I prefer using Next.js, this React and Next.js design system is perfect. I'm perfecting the design system now, but I'm using it for my Etech app. So, it does help us save some time and we can modify their designs. We can tweak the designs according to our preference in those components and design systems. Thanks.
An area where I had to balance my doubts between strategy. Okay. When I started designing, my whole focus was on aesthetics. Like, it should look good, and it should be eye-catching or eye-pleasing and all. I never cared, but I barely cared about the Zoom UX functionality. But, right now, if you ask me, after 3 years, what I have learned, the first thing I prefer is functionality and the user experience of the product rather than the aesthetic design. After solving the UX functionality, after understanding the UX functionality, I prefer to look for the aesthetic design, like, how I can make the app look better or the website look better with maintaining the functionality or UX functionality.
I operated on a particularly challenging user flow that I had to design. Yeah. In the project called Expert Online, I had confusion, like, how I would show the user flows. It took some time for me to design the information architecture, deciding what to present on my screen and where each button would lead. I encountered problems since I was the only UX designer available to help. So, I did a lot of research and watched many tutorials. I learned many things and came up with solutions myself. On particularly challenging user flows, I had to design. And yeah. The steps I took were to look at the information architecture and user flow once I had all the necessary elements. Then, I looked for common names or places that I could avoid and that weren't necessary for the screen or function. I skipped those unnecessary elements. I'll confirm what I'm saying. But I do know the answer.
Just right, that's a cool method you have used for tracking project progress and how it has been. That tool, I particularly didn't add a tool myself. Although we used to have Jira, with both developers and testers to track our project progress. Before that, we used to have Twilio for project deadlines like how we are dealing with the project deadlines and how far we have gotten and all. Other than that, I don't think I have used others. That are Jira and Perlook. Thanks.
Experience with user research and how it translates to explaining my experience with user research and how I translate user feedback into actionable design improvements. I have experience with user research, where I prefer conducting user interviews with end users and stakeholders instead of surveys. Based on their feedback, I create wireframes. I create multiple options of wireframes, some of which may be accurate and others not. I test these wireframes, and the ones that pass the test, I refine to create an even better UI design that balances functionality and user experience.
