AI-interview Questions & Answers

Sure. So hi. My name is. I am from India, and I have a total work experience of, 4.5 years now. Right? And, I, basically, I have done my graduation from business management. Then I eventually found out my interest in, designing. So that is why I have chosen a 1 year, diploma course for, computer applications, which is post lecture diploma in computer applications. So in that, I have, learned a lot learned a lot of things about, development and design. And in the development part, I learned PHP, Java, HTML, CSS, and a lot of languages. And then I figured out that, my initial interest is not in development. It is in design. So then I, found an internship in design only. So where I worked for 6 months, and, it was basically a web development internship, but then I, you know, got some more time from the internship and then started working on design. And after the after completing that internship, I got a job in, UI UX Design. So that was my first job. And then I, started to, you know, dig deeper in the field and in this industry. After that job, I worked with a design agency, where, my, design experience, got end re endage because the it was a pure, design work agency. No developers were there. Only we just, designers were working together, on various projects on in the span of, you know, 2 plus year. I worked on more than, 10 to 12 different moments of, projects, which include fitness, health, edtech, CRM, and various, projects. Right? And after that, I have worked in a, Fintech domain as well. So currently, I'm in Fintech domain, and I'm looking forward to, explore more domains and, diversify my skill set, and, to, solve more complex, business problems.

Yeah. So while designing in Figma, I always try to create if, we are designing a web page or a landing page of a product. Right? So I always, keep, the first option in 1920 by 1080, format only for the bigger screens. Okay? That is the biggest size we have, which is 1920 bits and 1080 as a height of the, landing page. Right? So first, I design for that only. when after that, when the requirement comes to, you know, go for responsiveness and, the, design elements would be, you know, adjusting as per the screen, size changes. So for that, I prefer to go for, the 1440 by 1080 size. So I'm designing that as well. And after that, the smallest 1 is 12 60 by, 768. So for the web pages, we have to, create 3 variations with 3 different sizes, and then we have to, define, grids as well so that each and each and every design elements would be, so we have consistent in every, screen sizes. Right? And for same goes for the mobile application as well. So for the Android phones, it is, around, 3 60 by 800, 3 60 bit and 800. Right? And so first of all, I design each and every mobile app in the if it is for Android, then I design in that, size only. And if it is for iOS, then we have to consider 375 as a bit and 800 as a height, for iOS. And, then we have to also, keep in mind the human interface guide and for iOS and material design guidelines for, Android. So we can, give a spacing according to their design system. So to better, you know, to make the app, visually better in the real world. So whenever the user downloads the application from Play Store or App Store, it should be, you know, pixel perfect, and it should not cut the design elements from the edges of the phone or anything. So I keep the, various device commands in my design system, and I always try to make the elements responsive. And, Yeah. That is how I, create that is my approach to, you know, create, responsive designs for each, devices with various, sizes.

Yeah. So Figma's collaboration feature is very much good because where, whenever I am working and suppose you are my client. Right? So if you want to see that, where I'm working and how I'm working, so, basically, I will share the Figma link with you, and you can easily, track me or, follow me on that so that you can in real time, you can see, where I'm working and what I'm working and what's the progress. Right? So, Figma allows the client to, continuously, you know, observe the, candidate on the file, right, then you can also comment wherever we are reviewing the, designs and everything. You can put the comments on, whatever the part you want to, you know, input. So that is also another way to, you know, streamline the design process with stakeholder. Right? And, you can also tag me in that so that I will get the email notification that the following person the a person has, commented here, on this file. Right? So this is how we can, collaborate in Figma to make the, you know, design process, streamlined and, to get more productive work done.

Yeah. So Figma has a lot of things, in hand. Right? So the basically, they have this Figma software, which is for wireframing and UI design only. Right? And for the end of as well. Right? And the another feature, the product they have is FigJam where we can sit together and brainstorm on, products ideas, to, you know, better understand the complex business requirements, we can definitely, divide the, complex business requirements into chunks, like, in small parts. And then we can pick that, 1 small part, and then we can, work toward solving it. Right? So that is how we can divide the requirement in smaller parts. And then after taking each smaller part, and we can then, solve the business problems. So we can use the FigJam where you can create user personas, user journey map, where you can create empathy maps, where you can, you know, collect all of your user research as well, where you can, you know, create mood boards, to define the UI design style and in which direction we should be moving forward. We can decide that from the mood board only. So we can do a lot of things in FigJam. And after, doing all of this thing in FigJam, we can directly import that in Figma to, you know, better, understand our, complex business requirements and, you know, to streamline the UI design that we are working on final, version, we can sync with and, you know, we can validate that with the, research, in the, feature we have done. So the Figma's features are really cool, and, they are also integrating AI as well. So we can we can create, you know, more, intuitive and attractive and elegant UI designs in the Figma with the help of AI as well. Right?

Yeah. So I always keep in mind about the developers that, would they be able to, you know, develop this kind of, feature? Because we, there are a lot of technicalities in the, you know, there are a lot of technicalities in the development of the application and everything. So we have to be, that sure if we are designing for Android, then we have to keep all of the technical constraint in your mind regarding a material design and, Android iOS sorry, Android operating system. Right? And in the meantime, if we are, you know, we can, read the spacing and, color and, everything about material design. So, basically, we definitely need to, you know, keep in the mind, regarding the spacing of the elements and how the Android is, responding to that spacing and how it will look on the mobile device if someone is, using it. So we have to, you know, with the help of real mobile, we have to test it, and then we have to adjust our, designs and everything. So it would be really great if we can, test all of these, visual things in the wireframe stage only so that we can create a sim a seamless user experience, and we can also take, balance the technical constraint. And, also, the developers will not have to, you know, worry about any of the, form that sort of, you know, solution for our complex business requirements.

Yeah. So, basically, Figma, provides a lot of, features. we can definitely create, various components for our design system for our new product in Figma. And after creating all of that component, basically, design system is a is a collection of components, various components, like colors, typography, spacing, and accordion checkboxes, radio buttons, and lot of things like, icons and, progress bar, then loader and lot of, you know, components are there in the design system. It varies product to product. Right? So after creating all of this component, we can, check the accessibility standard with the help of Figma plug ins. So plug ins is add ons. Okay. So add ons with the help of add ons, we can, check the, accessibility standards, like WCAG and, other accessibility standards. It's our component. We have created a component whether it is passing the accessibility standards or not. If it is not, as per the standards and if it is not, it doesn't pass the contrast checker requirement, so we can definitely adjust our design system colors in the advance before, you know, going, much forward. Right? So that we can create a seamless user experience with the help of sigma plug ins, which, allows you to check accessibility standards and, contrast between colors and, each and every year of the, application so that we can create a seamless user experience to enhance the, you know, user's emotions and, their, you know, experience.

Basically, I have not worked with, this, Leap code. I'm a pure designer. So I don't think that I would be, you know, the, suitable person to answer this question because I have purely working, design only, and I am not a developer. So I don't think I would be a suitable person to, answer this question.

The same, I am a pure designer. I only make designs in Figma, and I'm not developer. I actually didn't want the opportunity to, you know, explore the JavaScript and create and all other things. So, definitely, I'm not the suitable person to, you know, answer this question.

Yeah. Definitely. The auto layout, feature is the biggest, you know, problem solver in the, Figma software. Right? Because earlier, what, it will what happened that if we are you know, for example, you have come up with a requirement that involves creating various screens for various, devices. Right? So for if we have designed a home screen, then I need to be, you know, create that home screen variation for, larger device, medium device, and smaller device. For example, let's take a look. let's take an example of landing page. So firstly, I have created that landing page in web, for website for the laptop screen. Then I have to create that in tablet screen, and then I have to check if the how the, website would look in mobile screen. So these are 3, various devices that I need to be considered. Okay? So what, it used to be earlier before auto layout came, it was like you have to create a set of component 3 times. 3 times. Right? Because you first, you have to create the component for web, then you have to create the component for tablet, then you have to create the component for mobile application. Right? So, you have to create 1 single component for 3 devices. Right? So it will take a lot of time and effort and energy. But with the help of auto layout, we can create only 1 component, set the constraint, and set the other things. we can keep some things hidden as well, and we can set the constraint. Like, if, the width of the, screen is 1920, then display all of the, elements. Right? If the screen size is, around, you know, a 1000 for the tablet. Right? Then hide these many things and display only these things. And if, the screen size is, for mobile, then we can also define that, create, hide most of the things and display fewer things in the mobile screen. So with the help of only 1 component, 1 single component, we can create various, you know, things for various devices. So this is the power of auto layout, and I strongly believe to use auto layout in all of my designs. Right? And it is the main, game changer in the, design industry.

I couldn't get an opportunity to, you know, explore the login thing, login creation that is in my bucket list. I would definitely, plan something for the plug in creation, and, it is in my, you know, list to do list, because I want to, you know, try this, plugin creation functionality because I can with the help of that, I can definitely learn about some coding languages and, some other things. And, definitely, I can, create, 1 plug in that can really change the problem, real world problem, in Figma. Right? So, definitely, it is in my bucket list, and I will, once I get the opportunity in 1 second some time, I'll definitely, work on creating, plugin creation and custom screen. Thank you.

Actually, I have not, any, I did not get any opportunity to work with Sigma's API to automate any repetitive design task. And if I would, get a chance to work with that, I would definitely, put on some task, repetitive task on automatic mode so that I can more focus on, you know, solving another, challenges and, some, you know, predefined task are going on the, automotive autopilot mode. So, definitely, I can focus more on create on solving more complex business challenges, and I should not waste my energy in towards, creating this, you know, repetitive design task. So that is how I'm planning to if I'll, get a chance to, you know, work with that, I would definitely try that, and I would do all of my
