AI-interview Questions & Answers

Myself, I have completed my engineering degree in information technology from Central Institute of Technology, I passed out in 2020. After 2020, I joined OsoSoft India Private Limited as an associate, where I worked as a business analyst in different projects, equipment gathering, also helped in client requirements, gathering client requirements, their needs, and helped the technical team to develop a product which would help the client to solve their business problems. So after that, I joined NISG, known as the National Institute of Smart Government, as an executive. And after that, I went to a training for a functional analyst. As a functional analyst, they trained me with the help of different training modules in NIS. One of the training modules I went through was Oracle EBS 12.2, the functional module, and the HRMS module. They trained me. So in Oracle EBS 12.2, they were trying to develop an inbound ERP integrated module with the help of Oracle, because NIS needed a financial module and an HRMS module to streamline and optimize their operations. So they gave me a chance as a functional analyst in that inbound project. So how I completed my tasks? The first task I discussed with the main stakeholders, such as accountants and IT management or IT technical teams. What were the issues they were facing and what were their basic requirements to optimize the process? So as a result, I was able to get and complete the workflow and complete the whole configuration. And as a result, within 3 months, the operation optimization cost reduced to 30%. It's an agreed achievement, and they gave me a certificate that I had done an excellent job in the inbound project. So after that, they deployed me in Assam and in the ERP, EPS 12.2 project because the client wanted an HRMS inbound project in Assam. So I worked on

My experience with Oracle EBS 12. So, EBS Release 12, Oracle EBS Release 12, I have worked in NIS in my past experience because NIS wanted an inbound Oracle EBS 12 finance and HRMS module. I have helped NISG to configure the systems, requirements gathered from the IT teams and accounting and financial stakeholders, where I helped them to configure and optimize the workflow of the process so that our NISD inbound process should increase. Of course, before, I had already said that I had increased the optimization process by 30% in 3 months. And in Oracle, why NIS wanted to use Oracle EBS Release 12. Because it's in an Oracle enterprise where they provide both functional and financial and HRMS and project management modules. I saw the need to take both functional and HRMS. Later on, they tried to integrate project management and the CRM tool. So it was a good opportunity for me to get experience with EBS Release 12 in 2 years and 6 months in and in my NISC experience. So after completing NA EBS Release 12 configuration as a financial analyst and business analyst in NISG, I had done different requirement engineering projects in NISG such as in HRMS. Also, I had worked on a project in Assam where I recommended gathering FRS, SRS in EBS, Oracle, and helped someone to build or integrate their Oracle EBS system with other standalone software such as CRM and project management. So I helped them to configure the ERP Oracle ERP Release 12 software. Where they recorded their data from their old legacy system to the new targeted system. Data migration was also an important factor in that Assam Oracle EBS Release project. So, that is my overall experience. And in 2 years and 6 months with Oracle EBS Release 12. Yes. And thank you for your time. It would be great if we could work together on Oracle EBS Release 12 software. Yes. Right.

So if you lack experience in development, APARGL, easy integration projects from personalization, store procedures, DFF, customer reports, and configuration, AR APAR. What is your strategy to acquire these skills? So, in a development or integration project, reporting is an important component. So with the help of a group, this APAR accounting payables and accounting receivable, and with integration with customer support or CRM. I will try to gather information through the reports. Firstly, I will try to see the workflow at present and find the inefficiencies. Then I will try to find the queries that we're trying to retrieve data from CRM to the functional module, and how the data is shared from CRM to GL and through the functional group. So how GL is providing reports - are they efficient or is it taking time consuming when it's generating? If it's time consuming, then I have to see that inefficiency and how we can give a solution to that. If I get a strategy for acquiring these skills, I will definitely go through the Oracle ERP documentation where all processes A to Z are written and given. And, of course, getting training from the Oracle trainers. And, of course, my project managers or manager will help me to gather those skills as soon as possible. At least they will provide any link or process so that I can gather that skill as soon as possible. I give my assurance that within a few hours or a day, I can gather that skill with the help of training and AI tools. Right. Thank you.

Experience from APARZL is an integration project from Personalized Store Pro DFF and customer report. If I give a brief development experience for account payable, account receivable, and general ledger. Before that, Oracle has developed in a functional module where APARGUL shares data with the help of transactions. However, this process has no central repository in DGL, in the general ledger, which is quite difficult for generating customer reports or finding financial statements or balance sheets. Within that, Oracle has introduced a subledger accounting module, which is also known as SLA. With the help of SLA, APARZL were created as events to the SLA, and SLA created transactions to generate reports. In my previous experience in NISG, it was difficult to integrate APARZL directly to generate reports within a few seconds or a minute. However, when we integrated SLA, it helped us to generate a report within a second, reducing the time by 50%. To get that result, I talked with the stakeholders and the IT and technical management team to improvise the APARGL development so that the data can be exchanged faster to generate a report. First, I checked the inefficiencies. Second, I checked the data mapping to ensure the schema was the same. Without the same logic or schema, the report generation process would take time. Data mapping and data profiling are important components to develop APARGL. Using customer reports also helped us to generate APARGL and improve user experience. With the help of user experience, we can develop APARGL as soon as possible with SQL queries and optimizing the process to generate customer reports or stop procurement and personalized integration modules. These are the things I have worked on, and it's a great experience of 2 years and 6 months in EBS release 12, software.

In what subledger accounting within the Oracle EBS. Yes. Subledger accounting is a module that helps to create events for the general ledger. When the old modules such as the HRMS module, funds handling module, finance module, cash management module within the finance module, and project management module are used. And different modules provide shared data to the general ledger in the previous 11i version of EBS. But with the help of subledger accounting, events are triggered before they start as events. So it creates an event, and the subledger accounting (SLA) creates a transaction and provides it to the general ledger. So when an event is generated to the SLA, the SLA checks if the event is accurate or not. If the SLA confirms that the transactions are genuine, it converts to the general ledger, and a transaction is created. So with the help of SLA, the general ledger can create accounts. And after accounting, they can create reports. So subledger is a great module in EBS release 12 that reduces the issues faced in 11i, which were removed with the help of SLA, subledger accounting. Also, subledger accounting has its own programming to retrieve data or get any event or transaction. It has its own SLA, own repository, which is very important because in the previous version of Oracle EBS, the general ledger had no repository itself. So SLA has that repository to get and confirm events and confirm transactions. And after getting a transaction, it creates an accounting, and after that, they generate reports. These are my little bit of knowledge of subledger accounting within Oracle EBS. I hope you understand what I mean to say.

Is this, would you employ to handle an Oracle ERP system upgrade without disturbing ongoing finance sales operations? So first, I will discuss with the financial stakeholders the reasons they want to upgrade the Oracle ERP system and what are their basic needs and pinpoint the main issues they are facing, and what they want to update on that. Probably, they will say that they are not getting the financial reports on time, which leads to delay in decision making. So my first strategy is to discuss with the stakeholders. 2nd, I will discuss with the IT teams. According to that, I will discuss with the technical team to configure the module. And according to that, the data sharing process. And after that, I will monitor that process with the help of KPIs, key performance indicators, which is an important tracking system in Oracle ERP. And, of course, the time and how much time it's taking for data sharing from one module to another. And after keeping tracking on the KPIs, I can get to know what processes I have to apply so that without disturbing the ongoing financial operations, I can upgrade the ERP system. And before that, of course, I have to talk with my senior management about the best practices we can apply to take the Oracle ERP system upgrade because the ERP system, Relif 2.2, will give support only till 2030. So these are the strategies I will apply in that particular situation. And after getting good user feedback, I will deploy the system to the on-premises SDCC.

Of creating a custom financial report within Oracle EPS R12. The process of creating a custom financial report within the Oracle EPS R12 first requires an event to take place. For example, if we are doing a project, such as a web development project, and we want to get a financial report, a custom financial report to the organization. Firstly, the module creates the event. Then the event goes through the SLA subledger module, and the subledger module verifies with the help of bank details with the help of API in a bank or a receivable report or a finance sale statement report or with the help of the cash management module. So after getting information from many modules, the SLA gives a transaction to the ZL general ledger, where the general ledger creates accounting. And after accounting is created, the custom final report is created. This is the basic process of creating a custom financial report from the EBS R12 environment. Or, if we want to get an invoice from a vendor or if we received an invoice from a vendor or if we want to pay a vendor or give an invoice to a customer. Then, in project management, there's a module called project management, there's a module called financial, and there are modules called HRMS, where all information helps make an event to the SLA subledger accounting module. And the process goes on through, like, the event will create with the help of the subledger module. Then the subledger module gives data to the general ledger, and it creates transactions. The transactions after getting into a transaction in the GL, the GL creates accounting. And after accounting, they will finally get a report, for example, such as a balance sheet or an invoice generated or a bank statement according to their needs because it's a standalone software. Different departments may use different modules.

Explain how you would configure the system to process intercompany transactions in Oracle EBS R12. First, I will go through the inefficiencies that or how we can configure the systems to process intercompany transactions because Oracle has a feature from taking in a transaction with a third party. So it is an a feature that isn't good so that we can get any invoice from our same company or same or different departments, or we can get an invoice from a customer side. It's in a process where firstly we have to create a user ID and a hierarchy configuration. After that, we'll go through the configuration process of creating an event to the Service Level Agreement so that the data transaction may occur. And of course, the query should be optimized so that the data can share in a particular process with the help of rules that we assign in that particular process. So with the help of that we can process the intercompany transactions with the help of Oracle EBS R12.

Data migration strategy for a merger where the finance data from two companies needs to be combined. Oracle ERP data migration strategy is a process where defining a clear logic is very important. So in a data migration process, there should be a source system where the data can be generated in a particular, standardized format. And the destination system or target system where the data should be in a particular centralized system so that the two data sets when transferred from the source system to the target system, the data should be in the same structure or same schema. So with the help of ETL, the extractor first tries to extract the data in a particular format. For that, we have to clear a particular form. And within that Oracle form, Oracle forms are generated from Java, which is helpful to create schemas using JDK. So, firstly, within the extraction process, then after extraction, the data will go through the transformation process. After transformation, we'll clean the data, standardize it in a particular format, and after getting it in a particular format, we'll load that data to the target system. This is the basic data migration strategy. Within that, in the data migration, first, we'll use the data mapping, which is very important because in the data mapping, we'll see if a particular schema matches with another schema or not in the same logic. Is the code ID the same in the source system? Is it the same in the target system? Are there any missing values? Data mapping is very important. After data mapping, we'll go to data profiling, where we'll identify the IDs to match that particular data. Are there any inefficiencies, or are some values missing? Or we can do something so that the data is aligned with a particular schema. And after clearly visible logic and a standardized format, we'll load that data to the target system. With the help of that, we can merge the financial data from two different companies into one.

Updated with the latest best practices and technology in ERP Financial Systems, I read documents from the latest technology. I've taken magazines that outline best practices. Oracle provides a specific magazine each year, which can also be found on the Oracle website. After reading that, I realized that Oracle has different ERP systems. So, at present, the trend is to find out what the current best practices are that enterprises are running. So, after getting that, I chose the best technology and practices with the help of magazines, discussions with project managers, and training sessions. I also attended training sessions given by ERP developers, but I couldn't attend all of them. Instead, I tried to get information from the internet, Google, or the latest AI tools to stay updated and practice the best technology within a timely manner. Yes.

Where I had automated a financial process within the Oracle ERP system, the tool and strategy I used were. Yes. I had automated a financial process within the Oracle ERP system. So the issue was that in my past experience with NISC, they were not able to get the exact amount or take the time to get information about whether the payment was received or not from the customers. So ERP financial process automation was much needed in that case. So with the help of the bank reconciliation process, which was suitable in that particular scenario, I helped to automate the bank reconciliation process in the Oracle ERP system. I used a process that got a customer ID and got an amount at a particular time and date, which is very important for financial processes. With the help of bank statements, we were able to automate the financial process of bank reconciliation. After doing that, with the help of bank statements and APIs, and SQL queries, we were able to automate the financial process. However, the most important tool we used was flow diagrams, because flow diagrams are an important component in automating any processes. In this process, flow diagrams made a game-changing rule, as the architecture of traveling data from one module to another was a difficult task at the time. After completing all this, I was able to get a result that 40% of the financial processes were successfully converted within two months, and I successfully automated the financial process, reducing the time by 40%. It was a great success for me. First of all, thank you for your time, and I'm grateful for the chance you've given me. I can assure you that I can give my 100% to get this project successful, and I hope we may discuss this later.
