Simon C. - Sydney, Australia

Working with Manit is always an easy process. He's helped me created several icon packs for my game and always takes a series of words and concepts and converts them into the right icons. A Majority of these icons are perfect right away and the ones that need adjustment as done very quickly with minimal fuss. I'll be using him for all of my icons and other graphics assets as he's such an easy person to work with. A++ would hire again

Simon C. - Sydney, Australia

A wonderful designer. Provided multiple versions of ideas and concepts and worked with me to refine a set of beautiful icons for my game. Several icons I requested were spot on, without any need to re-design them. For a majority of icons they manged to source images that instantly captured the idea that I was trying to represent (without me having to manually select each image). A great process overall and I'll be back for future icons and designs.

Jonathan M.

He won our contest. Its obvious that he is a very good designer. No more explanation needed.

So, my name is Manik Maru. I have been in this design industry since almost 8 plus years and I have a total 6 plus years relevant experience as a UI UX designer. Before that I was working as a, I started my career as a graphic designer. So, overall I have been in this design industry since almost 8 plus years. So, before I, where I was working, I was designing that mobile layouts and website designing specially for that hospitality sector where I have designed almost 30 plus designs for that hospitality giants like Ramada, Marriott and Choice Hotels then Ayat Residency and all other hospitality giants. So, I have main role of kind of doing that design process audit where we are identify the, we are tracking that users behavior where actually users are, we are tracking that eyes, eyes, touch, clicks of users and we are identify that analytics and whatsoever we get from that insights. We are revamping the projects to achieve particular customer engagement. So, I have almost revamped 5 plus websites out there and I have achieved almost 30 plus users engagement out there. Apart from that I was also handling that social media of particular that clients. I have, I was handling almost 15 plus clients social media account where I was responsible to promote their offers and offers and kind of FST offers through that graphics and a video. I also achieved almost 96% of AKR which are designated by that our organization to particularly achieve a goal and I also gave training to four of my team members which are like not engaged with that social media. So, I given that training to them during my notice period time. That's all from my side. Yeah.

So, when it comes to design a user story or a user journey, so first of all, we have to identify that problem statement and what so ever pain points and what so ever objectives that stakeholder has. So after getting all insights from that, after getting all that statements from the stakeholders and the users, we have to identify how to achieve this problem statement. So for that, we have to create a user journey or a user story where particular one goal, how to achieve that particular one goal by achieving that particular goal. So in that phase, we have to figure out like there should be a particular road map for the user to achieve that particular goal, right? So in that way, we have to segment that particular goals in a different sections or steps so that user can easily interact with our product. So this is the ideal case where we have to achieve or sorry, we have to identify like we can conduct a session where users actually can, we can give a particular task to users to achieve some particular goal, right? So based on that insights, we can figure it out like what will be the best step out of it and what kind of path actually users are taking to achieve particular goal. So based on that thing, we can go with that options to make that user journey more seamlessly.

Could you describe the challenge you faced while designing for responsive web mobile apps and how you overcome it? Yes. So, uh, yeah, So there are, uh, so, uh, like, uh, when when we have to design for particular, uh, responsive designs. So sometimes we are facing more kind of problem. Even I I I face so many problems, like, uh, designing for a responsive design. So when when it comes to a website design, uh, we have a large canvas out there. So, uh, it's easy to design a particular element over the web. But when it comes to a responsive design, it's, uh, that we have a limitation of Canvas. So in that way, like, uh, we cannot, uh, accommodate all element in that mobile response. So to figure that out, like, to overcome the, uh, some kind of challenges for particular elements. Uh, I I I remember that one of the scenarios that where, uh, in the website, I have multiple kind of, uh, steps to, uh, done that KYC. Okay. So in that way, I have, uh, in in that responsive design, I have converted into that, uh, converted into that carousel where user can easily interact with that element without, uh, bothering and giving more cognitive load. Okay. So in that way, I have overcome that challenge. Second thing, I'm remembering that, uh, when it comes to event calendar things. Right? So in websites, we are generally, uh, we have a large panel, so we can easily create a event calendar elements out there. But when it comes to a mobile design, so it was bit challenging. Okay? To overcome that challenge, I have done, uh, I have converted that elements into a icon. So in less in less area, we can show that icons. And, uh, basis on that, we can, uh, show that responsiveness in mobile access. So, uh, user can relate both the things at the same time. Like, okay. This is the website, and this is the mobile layout by, uh,

I want to skip this question. I don't have much idea about this question.

So, uh, Figma is my, uh, Figma is my best tool for the UI UX designing. So why Figma? Because Figma is cloud based, so we can easily, uh, easily work with it without, uh, any kind of system load or anything like that. Apart from that, uh, Figma is independent kind of applications. For that, uh, we we don't have to depend upon the operating system of that operating system. Right? It's kind of a cloud based application. We just need a Internet connection. So it and it's easy to use. Apart from that, Figma is quite lighter version. Means it's easy to navigate without any kind of a load. Plus, it has more kind of a team collaboration kind of, uh, features are there. We care where we can, uh, easily work on a one project, uh, with a different kind of team members. Okay? Uh, so this is the advantages of that thing. So I like that Figma more. And, uh, one more thing. Uh, there is a one kind of, uh, what is a feature which I'm liking the more about, uh, Figma is, like, it is giving you a a tool for UX research that is FigJam. Right? We are using for that user, uh, research where we are, uh, dialing and make that notes. We can design that process out there. We can design the user flow out there. Right? So that is the why I'm liking that, uh, Figma more. And, uh, this is the tool which I'm using for the UI UX design.

Yes, for this, I remember one of the scenario where I had to face challenge for the user group. It was applications of educational platform. It is a one-stop solution for that educator and the trainers who are giving trainings and teaching on different subjects, right? So it was from the region, we say, from Israel. So the challenge was like, okay, we are designing in that English language, so it's left to right, and that another language that is Hebrew or Arabic, it's from right to left, right? So it was a bit challenging task for me. And I was more feeling, I was more, I have more about complexity for that user's flow. Okay, so actually, when we are designing for left to right, it's quite easy. Okay, we are designing for the left to right, right? But when it comes to RTL part, so it will be difficult for me to design a workflow, sorry, user flow out there. So I just recommended, I just put my queries in front of my stakeholders saying that, okay, I'm not familiar with this region. Okay, so just can you elaborate what kind of users, how users are interacting with RTL kind of layouts, so that I can, I can understand the user's need, right? I can understand how users are interacting with this particular digital devices, right? So it will be helpful for me to create a seamless kind of a user's flow to give them a seamless experience, right? So by visualizing all those things, I approach to the stakeholders saying that I need some kind of a data, where I want to understand like, how, how RTL language is going to work. For that, I have researched in, I have researched on Google, I gone through the material design where I get some kind of a point related to RTL how to design a particular flow for the RTL languages, right? So this is the where I collaborate all inputs from that material design and from the stakeholders. And I sold it with a minimal kind of a minimal kind of putting by more of efforts to solve it.

How do you ensure the accessibility of design for the diverse user base? So when it comes to accessibility, we have to consider all that, uh, people who are visibly, uh, who are specially able like that. So, uh, when it comes to accessibility, we have to, uh, make sure that our, uh, whatsoever color, whatsoever, uh, form, whatsoever, uh, elements we are using, it's, uh, diversely, uh, accepted by the group of people who are not able to actually, uh, see the things properly, can interact with that that proper element. Right? So by considering all such things, we have to make sure that, uh, we are not designing for any particular, uh, target audience. Okay? We are con we are designing for the entire age group entire, uh, people who are actually, uh, have some physical problem. They might have some eye, uh, eye related issue. Right? So to achieve these things, we have to ensure that, uh, we are giving more kind of a contrast color so that people who cannot see light color easily, they can easily, uh, easily identify those color. We have to identify the font which we are choosing. Right? We are if we are choosing kind of a, uh, fonts which are actually giving a strain to user, then it will be a issue. Right? So make sure, uh, uh, we have to, uh, we are using that, uh, that fonts, colors, and everything by considering all all the, uh, audience.

Do you describe a technique you use for testing and the writing design? Yeah. So, basically, I could say, uh, I I have used different tech different test, uh, techniques for the testing. So one of, uh, I have used in one of my project where I I used AB testing. Okay? And, uh, and, uh, like, achieve almost, uh, 30 plus the 3rd or 30%, uh, increment in the user engagement. So, basically, I conduct a a b testing out there. So I have, uh, composed 2 versions, uh, related to website revamp design where, uh, I have uh, design tool layout and submit it to to the, uh, stakeholders. Okay. Once they have seen that, uh, designs, they then we have approached to that, uh, nominal group of 10 to 15 peoples where we have run this, uh, testing. Okay? So we have given a particular, uh, we have said them, like, what kind of, uh, I said to them, like, what kind of design you are liking or what what is that out of 2, which design you prefer the more? By this testing, uh, it it gave us, uh, it it give give me a insight about, uh, okay. This is the option 1 you should have to go with. So by conducting that user testing and getting the insights from that user testing, I, uh, do some, uh, iteration. I do some changes into that. And, uh, finally, I have submitted that, uh, that project. And, uh, later on, uh, before it was around, like, uh, 5 5% of engagement they are getting. And after that, uh, usability testing and, uh, iterating that designs, we achieved almost 30 30% in that customer engagement.

So, this is an approach to water limitation . So, I remember one of my project where a client is more associated with that AI base . So, they are a platform to provide that AI services . So, in that way we have to figure it out like how we can use that how we can identify that images and all graphical presentation which are showing and aestheticity of that AI model . So, I remember that it was a big challenge for me to how to design that particular kind of a graphics which actually give a impact of AI kind of a domain right . So, it was bit I can say we cannot compose it with a Figma we cannot compose it with a Adobe Photoshop right . So, it was challenging for me . So, to address I just communicated with my team lead and say that this is the things I am facing right now and also I try to say them like ok this is the tool I don't I'm I cannot make this kind of a graphics . Later on as soon as I point this I address this point to my team lead I had gone through I just recall myself like I had gone through one tool when I was at home and just scrolling and scrolling on that medium article ok . So, I remember that I recall that tool that was mid journey ok . So, I just get my answer out of there ok . So, I started using that mid journey and I have created a graphics which are more giving a aestheticity to aestheticity to that particular AI domain and I have created lots of graphics out there by typing a prompt ok and this is the way I have solved that issue .

Yeah. So I remember one of the scenario where I I actually where I actually, uh, designing a mobile application. Okay. So it was not actually mobile application. It was kind of a, uh, responsive design where we have to figure it out, like, uh, uh, menu style. Right? So, uh, in the website, we have a horizontal layout. Like, uh, we can easily, uh, use that wall canvas, and we can show that, uh, menu or on the top of or like that. But when it comes to a a mobile, we have to identify how this kind of a this kind of layout will be, uh, how to use this layout in a mobile. Right? So in that way, uh, I say to developer team, like okay. When it's when it comes to a particular website design, just, uh, go with that horizontal bar. And when it comes to a mobile, then switch to a horizontal bar with hamburger icon. And, uh, use that, uh, use that, uh, change in the mobile and tablet. According to the screen screen sizes, uh, we have to change the layout. When it comes to a laptop, it should be horizontal. When it comes to a HD screen, it should be horizontal. But when it comes to a uh, 722, 360, or a 375 scenario of mobile application, it will come to it it will narrow down, and it will take, uh, it will replace with a hamburger menu so that we can easily, uh, switch between the screens and, uh, without, uh, hampering the design's aesthetic. So this is the way I have solved that development process by using

Instances where you have to implement your design. So till this time, uh, I'm more I'm more engaged with that UI UX thing. So, uh, actually, I don't have experience in that particular HTML and CSS. But, yes, I have that knowledge that, okay, Uh, while designing a particular element, we have to consider whether it should be possible with the HTML or CSS part. Right? But I have never, uh, introduced myself in that field of HTML CSS to write down that uh, syntax and all. So I'm not able to answer this question, but uh, that's all.
