Built a holistic digital platform (Karta Connect) from the bottom up for disadvantaged youth to build awareness and skills, access opportunities, and connect with a community of professionals ready to provide mentoring and guidance. Programmed in Flutter allowing cross-platform app development, and Ruby on Rails that serves the APIs. Improved performance of the app to work efficiently in low-bandwidth environments and provide offline functionality.

Remotely worked as a software consultant for Case Commons across different teams, from building new features, to fixing bugs, to refactoring code in order to improve performance of the product.

Managed developers and worked with other managers/leads to find ways to empower/grow the engineering team. Led a team focused on core parts of the product, for example, making our search engine more powerful by switching from Postgres search to Elasticsearch and allowing end users to configure certain parts of the product.

Worked on a case management system (Casebook) for child welfare. Programmed primarily in Ruby on Rails and React. Helped the product go live, and continue to extend and enhance it with a focus to modularise code into reusable components for use across multiple states in the USA. Led the effort to make our product accessible and aided in the creation of an open source Ruby gem (capybara-accessible) for automated accessibility audits. Presented at OCSON alongside Google on Automated Testing For Accessibility. Led the responsive design effort to make our product cross-browser and cross-platform compatible and created a pattern library in the process along with a testing system for catching visual regressions.

Worked as a Software Developer in the New Product Development team following agile methodologies and test driven development. Program primarily in Ruby on Rails followed by Java and Scala with occasional Javascript and CSS. Responsible for delivering robust, well-designed solutions for products and services, both old and new.
