Hi. This is Pritam Kumar. I'm a UI UX designer. I pursued my design degree from NIFT Chennai, India. It was a four-year complete bachelor's degree. Until now, I have had ten years of industrial experience in retail as well as IT companies, including IT services and consulting. So, I have designed products for multiple domains, such as ecommerce, FinTech, and others, including ecommerce platforms and pharmacies. I developed the FMCG app's delivery application and admin website. I have experience in Android and iOS for both mobile and web applications. This is my introduction and background, an overview of what I have done and what I am doing now. Currently, I'm working as a UI UX designer in Datametix Global Services Limited, which is a IT services and consulting company, and our clients are mostly based in the USA. That's it. I'm looking for a new role to develop my skills. I can contribute to any organization with the skills I have and help them grow. Thank you.
So before developing wireframes, according to the product requirement, we create assets which are reusable so that they can be used throughout the platform, or on mobile, or websites, in order to maintain consistency. So the other designers who are working on that project can use the similar icons or components, whatever they are, so that we can maintain consistency throughout the application. So after the UI, we ideate with two team members. We check the usability and determine if the product is usable or not. So we use tools like Figma, which has a very good function of collaboration. So through that, we develop wireframes. And after that, we move to prototyping, where we make the real-time touchpoints. And if we can reduce friction to make it helpful for customers or make the product seamlessly and usable for our customers. So because the users, the product has to be user-centric, because it has to be used by multiple users. So we almost check the usability by
Generally, we don't follow the customers. We follow any of the five to six users. Or we test the product among our team members. We keep five to six members. But generally, if you are testing any product for five to six members, almost we are testing throughout the entire mindset of the customers. So according to that, we test our products and rectify the problems or optimize the products. We reduce the clickability and so that the users can reach their goal or accomplish their goal within a limited period of time. Yeah. Thank you.
Currently, I was working for an IT services and consulting organization where our clients were mostly from the USA. They were asking us to develop products for their customers. Few of them were asking us to optimize their websites to increase the retention of their customers. So I developed their products, revamped their products, and in result, the retention of their customers was increased, and user engagement was increased because I implemented gamification on their product. And due to that, user engagement was increased. And because of that, the retention of users was also increased. So I took the customers as a priority and kept attention on their accomplishment of their goals to make the product's ROI higher. Thank you.
Yes, we are having customers' data on our system. So, what we did was, we have customers' data, like, how much they order, how much their ability is to make an order, what are their card sizes, what are their buying behaviors. So, through this, in my last organization where I was working with a startup, I developed an application for salespeople where I gave them a target for each particular customer because we know the customer's buying behavior, what are their capabilities of making their cart sizes. So, I prioritized those users for the two salespeople, showing what the customers' capabilities were, so that they could push or ask them to order frequently or increase their basket sizes. So, by this way, we were incentivizing the salespeople if they were bringing more orders for a particular customer. So, we were giving targets based on priorities to those salespeople to bring orders from the particular customer. So, this way, I used the data we have in our system to increase our sales and increase the selling.
In my same startup for a B2B FMCG product, where we were handling customers' data, I found that customers were uninstalling the application very quickly after downloading it. So I conducted research and found that the customers downloaded our application because they wanted to earn by selling. The product the company had a feature of reselling of products, and users could earn a commission on that. However, they were not knowing after downloading how they could make a commission or how they could earn through our application. At that time, TikTok or Reels were in trend. So I implemented a video tutorial explaining how they could earn. And after that, I implemented a real section on our application where after downloading, users could go through the tutorials and learn how they could earn from our application, so they wouldn't just uninstall our application. By implementing those video tutorials, our user retention increased, and they started engaging with our products, taking benefits from our product, and through the reselling feature of our product.
For UI designers, I was having a team of designers, graphic designers. They were mainly making banners, templates, or emailers for customers because for customers, whatever touch points are there, first, they come to our application or download our application through text messages or advertisements, what we were providing them on social networking. So for UI designers from the UI designer, I was asking them to make banners or something which was so impactful that customers can interact with it and download our application or take benefit of our application, or whatever we are proposing them on their posters or banners that they can get on our application. So I was managing two to three graphic designers or UI designers. By them, I was also making few components of if I was about to implement gamification or our product. So I was asking them to make or I was getting them done the UI components of gamification, how an animation can be done, or how GIF patterns, like, for splash screens and all, can be done. So I was managing UI designers like this: how we can bring customers to our application or how we can increase the customer size on our application for our brand. Thank you.
