Led the backend architecture for PWs PI OTT platform, building scalable APIs, real-time watch-event ingestion, and distributed data models that process millions of interactions daily powering Home Feed, Top X Content, Continue Watching, Personalized Recommendations, and seamless playback state management at scale. Developed an internal NestJS caching NPM package with Redis + Debezium + Kafka-based automatic cache invalidation, reducing p99 latency by 2X across multiple microservices. Designed and deployed a robust video processing pipeline to simulate videos in multiple languages, improving accessibility and user engagement. Built four production-grade microservices (Doubt, Comments, Forms, Polls) handling millions of requests with strict SLAs. Integrated ClickHouse in the Doubt service to enable real-time analytics with advanced, filter-based insights. Designed and integrated Kafka and KSQL streams to manage emoji reactions in 200k+ concurrent student live classes, ensuring seamless real-time interaction. Reduced infrastructure costs across multiple services by different approaches while saving data in cache without compromising performance.
