Hello. I'm Sahil Narsingh. I am a graphic designer with over 6 years of experience. I started my journey with a BSc in aeronautics. However, due to my passion for graphic designing, I started freelancing. After that, I received an offer from a company named Radha Madhu. Following this, I began my full-time journey in graphic designing. I pursued my passion for design. Now, I have approximately 6 years of experience in graphic design and video editing.

Okay. So, mostly, we know that print design, which consists of CMYK colors, which is different than RGB, which is used in social media or digital media. Okay. Digital images, which we create that we see on our phone or on our laptop, are in the RGB format, which is a red, green, and blue color format, whereas print design is in the CMYK format. Adapting print design into suitable social media use, we can directly convert from CMYK to RGB. Okay. So, if you want to use any print design in a social media post, you have to convert it into RGB colors. So, if I want to create a social media post from print design. I'll directly go into the illustrator, grab the file from CMYK, and I'll create a new file, which is in RGB, not JB, 300 DPI, and directly paste that into it. So, there will be some color changes in it. So, I'll try to match the color, which is suitable for social media.

So mostly, to enhance an image in Photoshop, when I want to do that, I go to Image and then I go to Image Size. In Image Size, there's image resolution, I can directly change that resolution from 70 to 300 DPI. And then I can select the Preset to sRGB IEC61966-2.1 and set the value to 90 or more than 50. So that will increase or enhance the quality of the image. Again, after this, I can also use if I want some sharpening, I can also use the Sharpen tool for this.

So, my process of syncing all the companies' visual all the companies' design and visual identity is, like, I create separate folders for the companies and so I always follow the path of designing and following the company's guidelines, bank guidelines. Like, if for example, I'm working for a company in Age brand. So they have certain brand guidelines. They have certain phone wear guidelines, color guidelines. They will only use black and a peach color or a few colors in their logo. So these are their brand guidelines. So I'll follow the entire, like, from color to phone to the size of the phone. I'll follow the entire brand guidelines, and this is my entire process to make the designs. And to make the designs since I already plan my content calendar to maintain the future posts and future pages properly.

Recently, as I'm working for the Acevedo, I directly take example from that to illustrate color theory over there. So one of my designs over there is the premium plan protein, which is the unflavored premium plan protein. So the matter of creating this packaging is that the process of ideation to create this packaging is made from brown rice and also green pea. So it is totally based on that, and it is unflavored since there is no flavor. So I kept it raw as it is a vegan brand. I followed the color, which is their color as well, which is a combination of green, pale green, and white. I used white colors and created a packaging where I also took illustrations like the green peas and rice barn so that it directly shows that this has green peas and rice band in it. Also, I highlighted that it has 26 grams of protein in the front. So people who are going to buy it know that it has 26 grams of protein in one serving. Also, I maintained the nutrition chart, which is the nutrition facts, which is on the backside of the packaging. So the entire packaging, from the key line to the color correction to the print, everything is done by me. This created the brand identity, and I also followed the previous brand guidelines, the previous packaging designs, and the colors.

Okay, so right now, I'm so excited. One of my friends gave me a project, which was her event series logo. She wanted some animation with her logo. So it was so exciting, and it was so complex as well. Her logo was so complex. I created one event series logo where the logo is coming, like, first, and another text is popping up. Like, when a paintbrush is coming, when a paint bucket is coming, and then painting a whole new home. This process was exciting, but it took time because I was quite a beginner at that time. So I was using certain tools. I used Illustrator just to create her logo and redesign her logo into pieces. I redesigned her logo into pieces. I separated the layers of the logo in Illustrator. I used Illustrator for the separation of the layers. After that, I used After Effects. I took that Illustrator file, which is separated into sequences, gave different sequences to it, and transferred that file into After Effects. After importing that file into After Effects, I directly started seeing each and every aspect of the file, including each sequence and each layer of the file. After animating each effect, I made certain compositions in After Effects so that I could overlap different scenes in it. This was so challenging for me. And, yeah, I used Illustrator and After Effects for the animation. And, recently, I started using Blender for 3D animation, and I think it's so cool.

So how do you balance the video and process and see how you design for different media platforms? Yeah, that's a tricky question, but I have to answer it. As a graphic designer, we need to be creative across all platforms. Right? So I always take examples from various platforms like print, Pinterest, Behance, and Dribbble to maintain my creativity. And I also use certain phones, for example, from different brands. They have their own phones, so I use particular phones for particular brands. Most brands don't want different phones; they want similar phones, which their brand uses, so they can see a boost in consistency. So I mostly follow the brand guidelines to maintain consistency across all media platforms. As an example, I started working for this agency, which is fantastic. I created their packaging, and for the packaging, they wanted to follow their brand guidelines. The food is similar across their website, so they wanted similar content. I made a content calendar, noting what phone they use, what to push for in their content, created related food content, and created more boards for them. Then I achieved consistency for that one. This is how I follow brand consistency and maintain the bank's.

In my most challenging project at Adobe Design, I worked on a 3D brochure that I had to create before taking it into Adobe and Design. Mostly, I create everything in Illustrator, and I hardly use InDesign, but in this project, I had to use Adobe InDesign because the file I received from the client was in that format. It was challenging for me to add things to the file. However, it was a new experience, but I knew Illustrator. I found it easy to adapt from Illustrator to InDesign. I had done very few projects in InDesign, but I executed it.

This is so as I'm learning this AI, this is so challenging for me to create content via AI generated. Sometimes we have to know what prompt we have to give to the AI to get a prominent outcome. So I guess I designed to, for example, I have to create a brand post for a brand which sells shoe coffee, which has a shoe, let's take an example of lion's mane shoe. So most of the lion's mane shoes, if I want to create something, then I have to give a prompt to the AI, and then the AI will visually represent a lion's mane coffee and everything. So I have to give a prompt to the AI what I want to generate. And the strategy behind it is that I'll sketch it out on paper first what I want to design for the store's social media. What is the content? What is the copy I'm getting, and what things I have to design. If I'm doing one campaign for a coffee brand, then I'll see what Lion's Mane does. What does the copy do? So I'll find out what's in it, and then I'll find that Lion's Mane has a focus. Okay. So I'll generate something with focus, which will increase focus, like a chess. Okay. Like, archery or like, you are feeling dizzy while working. So you do you'll grab a cup of coffee which will increase your focus, and similarly, that works. So this is how I get to make a content.

This is how you could handle a situation. Sometimes when we design, designers have certain different things in mind. But it's the client's business. He knows very well about his product. However, if the design is not matching, then the design isn't matching. Let's discuss with the client about his vision, what he wants, and from what design he wants. What is the specific thing he has in mind? I'll try to align my design with his vision. Or, I try to understand his vision from the design, what he wants to create. For example, if I want to sell something related to a beer, but not a beer, which is an alcohol. I don't want to portray this as unhealthy. But it is healthier than beer if I'm getting a healthier option. So, this is the client's motto. I'll understand that client's motto and portray whatever he is telling me. We'll create some designs according to it, and then keep the client in mind to match the vision with the design.

Okay, can you provide an example of how you use code zero over for in your own social media campaigns? So, in my current company, I'm using the platform Asana and Google Sheets to get a buffer of upcoming campaigns and future tasks, such as creating videos for social media campaigns when launching new products. There will be certain tasks involved. I'm working in a group, so I assign tasks to my teammates, which include content writers, video editors, and graphic designers. We divide our content and then use Asana as a managing platform to manage tasks step by step. If I want to create content, one person will assign me the content based on that task. I'll then design something based on that content. I'll sketch out something, and then if I have a product in hand, we can create a 3D render of it. After creating the 3D render, we can add it to the social media campaign or post. We can also include information such as the launch of the product, the launch price, and other details provided by the marketing department. This is how I create a buffer. Before one week, we make all the social media posts, videos, and other content, and we manage everything on Asana or use Google Sheets sometimes.
